Why is Dev Uthani Ekadashi important?
According to tradition, Lord Vishnu goes into yoga nidra on Devshayani Ekadashi in the monsoon and wakes on Dev Uthani Ekadashi, ending Chaturmas. From this day marriages, griha pravesh and other auspicious ceremonies resume, which is why the wedding season is linked to it.
