Why Kartik Purnima is special
Kartik Purnima is among the holiest full moons of the year. Devotees bathe in the Ganga or other rivers, give charity, and light lamps. The day coincides with Dev Deepawali, the festival of lights of the gods, celebrated with lakhs of diyas on the ghats of Varanasi, and with Guru Nanak Jayanti in the Sikh tradition.
Satyanarayan Katha on Purnima
